A delightful tea room. Visited with a large family group for a birthday celebration. The food is great, tasty sandwiches, yummy cakes & the warm home made scones are delicious The atmosphere is lovely and cosy but without feeling cramped at all. The staff are all lovely & very attentive without being intrusive. The service is spot on. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended

A fantastic place to eat, food is always lovely. I particularly liked the festive cauliflower cheese dipping sauce! My hot chocolate was really tasty and creamy, some places hot chocolate can be quite watery but not at the Laughing Pear!

Deserving of 5 stars, the staff were extremely friendly. The building it's self is clean and tidy, I really like the floor. The food is fresh and made to order. The coffee is good, not the strongest, dairy alternatives cost extra but atleast they are catered for. There were some pancakes left over and they boxed them up for us. The staff are fabulous what a really nice bunch of people so polite and friendly.

Husband and I have been here many times before during the day for breakfast or lunch, and always had a great meal. The food is always great, but it is often quite noisy when it’s busy. However, last night was an evening event for Valentine’s Day. The place had been transformed! No longer a busy cafe with lots of chatter, hustle and bustle - but an intimate, softly lit setting for a romantic meal. We had preordered the food, which all arrived at just the right pace and was of excellent quality. Couldn’t fault it and will certainly be keeping en eye out for the next event.

Brilliant place, was visiting Essex car dealership and looked for a local cafe. This place was buzzing, we were greeted by friendly staff. There loads of choice and the breakfast was delicious. They cater for lunch and evening as well as afternoon teas etc. Excellent cafe well worth a visit.

This is a lovely little place to come with friends for breakfast or lunch. We love it here Food is fantastic :) always so fresh and tasty. I visited recently and there was a young girl running drinks - ( Connie. ) She was efficient and quick. It was a very busy Saturday. All the staff were friendly and make us feel welcome all the time. Would recommend.
